I love shopping here! They have the friendliest employees, the freshest meats and produce, and the most delicious prepared Middle Eastern foods. Today, I came in to make my own lupini bean snack (turmus). Additionally, I bought some lamb, a couple of bags of baby okra (bamya), and some jute leaves (mulukhia). They sell ready made hummus, falafel, kibbeh, as well as other delicious baked goods. They truly have everything you could possibly need for the perfect Middle Eastern feast. Furthermore, their prices are fair and reasonable compared to other establishments. If you haven't been to Harlem Foods & Bakery, I highly recommend you check them out!

By far, my most favorite Arab grocer out there. Get the rare Arab foods that you can't find at your local grocer, get meats, oil, cheese, and other Arab grocery items. It's a beautiful and clean store with friendly and helpful employees. You can find some of the tools you need to make the perfect Palestinian dish! They always have the raw green almonds (when they are in season in the Spring) and the raw green plums (when in season). It's not expensive and they run a great operation there. I drive 45 minutes every week or two just to shop here. You can't go wrong coming to Harlem Foods.

The most incredible already prepared pita,. hummus, red chili sauce (shatta)and baba ganoush. Also pickled goods and labneh. Helpful friendly deli staff and check out staff. Incredible prepared falafel, beef pastry pies (kibbeh), etc, in their already-cooked pastry counter. Excellent prepared foods plus great selection of Middle East (and Indian) spice blends, breads, beans, sauces, cheeses, condiments. I am so glad to have this grocery store in my regular mix.

This is a mom-and-pop store where a lot of people know each other and the environment is very friendly and comfortable. They expanded their operation and did a major remodel over the last year, and the place looks great. I like their on-site baked goods, and they'll grind coffee to your tastes. They carry some specialty items that the larger stores don't have, and if there's something you want that's not shelved, they are happy to see what they can do. I like that it's a family business, and they are positively involved with the community.

Clean and well lit. You would have a much better experience shopping here. Most other middle eastern grocery stores are crowded with isles too close to each other and ceiling high!

Love the pita and hummus here. Whenever I'm in the Bridgeview area (we live over an hour away) we come here to get their baked goods and hummus. We have tried hummus from other local grocery/bakeries in the area, and nothing beats Harlem Foods & Bakery.

I don't live in the area, so whenever I am, I stop here. Actually, the whole family does. It's not just your typical grocery store, it has everything you need in one stop. My kids' favorite thing here are the cheese pies. When they have summer camp, they're stopping at Harlem Foods every day maybe. Owners are so nice and so gracious. I also started to get my lamb from here. Great prices and great meat. My personal favorite item is the pickled turnips. I get them almost every week.

Our families favorite little grocery/bakery. Super convenient! The pita bread is the REAL DEAL always freshly baked DAILY! The Falafel are nice and crispy the baked breads and appetizers too of course. It's a bit small inside but recently they've been expanding little by little trying to make room for more on demand items especially items from abroad. Which is probably the main reason why people come here I'm guessing to find something their missing from back home. Weather your looking for something to prepare your next meal or just got out of the gym and need a quick bite you'll find this place becoming your new quick go ro spot. Ramadan's right around The corner (May 26) they'll be making their fresh homemade ricotta cheese and the mini qataif! Cant wait!
